Assassin Master Edition – Revolutionary Evolution
Share
Following the debut edition that established the tonal benchmark for Urkunet’s parameters, we are set to officially launch the evolved version of the Assassin: the Master Edition.
This is no simple iterative improvement—it is a complete design overhaul built upon the core parameters, combining performance optimization with uncompromising aesthetic expression.
Core DNA: The Defining Performance Character of Urkunet
The Master Edition fully retains the three signature traits of the Assassin: Low blade exposure, wide blade gap, and High-stability blade clamping. The fundamental core parameters remain unchanged, preserving the true "Assassin" identity while undergoing deep refinement and structural redesign in every detail to achieve the Master-level upgrade.
Top Cap Redesign: Zero Skin Suction, Ultimate Smoothness
We have completely re-engineered the top cap structure, introducing more adjustable angles and adding an asymmetrical airflow channel design. This physically eliminates skin suction at its root cause.
With a smaller contact area and optimized channels, glide across the skin is significantly enhanced. The distinctive external geometry further strengthens visual identity—a feature set that will become one of Urkunet's iconic design languages.
Base Plate Innovation: Maximum Chip Clearance & Hardcore Aesthetics
The base plate represents another major focus of the Master Edition, fully optimized and redesigned:
-
•
Superior chip evacuation: While retaining the original core parameters, the combination of oversized chip channels and wide blade gaps pushes clearing efficiency to an all-time high.
-
•
Sharp, clean lines: Replacing complex concave curves with a unified flat-plate design, the new base plate delivers crisp, rigid contours. The larger flat surface allows for finer, more intricate logo engraving, greatly enhancing overall texture and collectibility.
Gap Adjustment Evolution
The three gap settings have been refined from the debut edition’s 1.5–2.0–2.5 mm to 1.2–1.7–2.2 mm. These optimized tiers offer clearer differentiation, making shaving preferences more distinct.
Secondary Smoothness Enhancement
Additional guide channels have been introduced to further reduce friction resistance, increasing smoothness during use.
Handle: The Perfect Fusion of Aesthetics and Functionality
The handle has been completely redesigned to achieve a seamless blend of high-grip anti-slip performance and sharp-edged aesthetics. It is both practical and visually striking, with strong brand recognition.
We went through over a dozen internal iterations for the handle—even scrapping previous designs entirely before finalization. The earlier hexagonal pagoda-style design was ultimately abandoned due to excessively long machining times.
We then pivoted toward a different aesthetic direction: steampunk. Inspired by gear structures, we incorporated them into the handle design, where they also serve as functional grip grooves.
The result is a cohesive stylistic unity between the handle and the razor head.
